Why Nutritional Cleansing?

If you have been following my social media you have probably noticed that I have posted a lot about nutritional cleansing. What you might not know is how or why I got in to it.
Before I started using nutritional cleansing I was extremely bloated from my pregnancy. I was eating healthy and appropriate portions of food during my pregnancy, but was gaining a crazy amount of weight.
I was frustrated, tired, and just so uncomfortable (aside from the normal pregnancy discomfort). I had several other friends who were pregnant at the same time I was, and it seemed to me that none of them were struggling with the issues I was.
That all changed when I saw a post on Facebook from my friend Melissa. She was due with her baby a few months before me. I watched how nutritional cleansing was working for her during her pregnancy, and her amazing transformation after giving birth. I remember seeing a before and after picture that she had posted of her bloat disappearing. In my first 30 days here’s what happened: A little bit of my bloat disappeared. I'll be honest, I wasn't following the meal plan like I was supposed to (2 shakes and 2 full meals, plus snacks for pregnant/nursing mom). I mostly did it when I needed a quick and easy meal.
I re-committed to my shakes after having Griffin. It was a great easy (full) meal to have while breastfeeding (because cooking with a newborn is...well I will put it this way: Ain't nobody got time for that!).
After I stopped breastfeeding I was able to start doing the cleanses. The first time I cleansed I dropped several pounds. And it stayed off! I was shocked. I was thinking "oh, most of it must be water weight and will come back." It didn't.
Not only did I lose pounds, I lost a ton of inches. I should have measured myself, but I was dummy and didn't.
Now I feel lighter, leaner, and my head feels less foggy. I have so much more energy. My taste buds have changed as a result of my system being re balanced.
I used to crave salt and sugar, and now I crave fruits and veggies. Most of the time taking even a few bites of something salty/greasy/sugary makes me sick now. Not to mention the crazy headaches I get the next day.
As a result of this experience I am able to have energy throughout the entire day, including enough energy to actually do my workouts. I am able to not feel guilty when I do have a cheat meal. I am able to stop counting calories because I am relying on the healthy nutrition from my system. I am able to stop worrying if I will ever fit in to my normal clothes because I am seeing consistent results.
Besides dropping the weight, I am doing this to set a good example for my family. I want to help my son form a healthy positive relationship with food. I don't want my body to hold me back from doing the things that I want because I am too tired.
